Robb Johnson received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in EE from the University of California, San Diego. His graduate research focused on GaAs HBTs and Silicon-on-Sapphire MOSFETs and their application to radio frequency circuits. After graduating, Dr. Johnson worked for IBM (now GlobalFoundries) doing technology development on their SiGe BiCMOS processes. In 2001 he joined Inphi Corporation as their Director of Technology and is currently Inphi’s Sr. Director of Semiconductor Foundry Engineering. In this role he works with Inphi’s many foundries including CMOS, SiGe, GaAs, InP, and Silicon Photonics, to develop new processes, improve yield, and lower costs.
