Dr. Chun Lei is the Vice President of Operations at Lumentum responsible for 3D Sensing Product Engineering and Operations.  Prior to Lumentum, Dr. Lei was the Vice President of Wafer Fab Operations at Emcore Corp where she led the development and manufacturing of VCSEL, FP, DFB, Gain Chip, MZM, PIN and APD chips and packages. Dr. Lei started her career at Hewlett Packard Optical Communication Division where she initiated the development of Vertical Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) products that soon became a multi-hundred million dollar business.  Subsequently, she served as the Vice President and General Manager at Finisar where she led the development of high speed InP lasers and detectors.   Dr. Lei received her B.S. in Physics from China, M.S. in Physics and M.S. in EE from the University of Texas at Arlington and Ph.D. in EE from the University of Texas at Austin.
