Aidan Goggin, Seagate
Aidan Goggin is a Sr R&D Manager within the Recording Heads Group of Seagate Technologies responsible for light path design of Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) read-write heads. Within Seagate, prior to this he worked on Design Verification Testing (DVT) of the reader transducers for Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR) heads for Seagate. Previously he has worked for over a decade in the research and development of a range of implantable medical devices for both large scale multinational as well as indigenous startup companies. He received his B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
